What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates the body's natural collagen production, improving the appearance of fine lines, scars, and overall skin texture. Experience smoother, more youthful-looking skin with our expert team.

PRP: HAIR RESTORATION

We have the option with microneedling or injections to apply a patient’s own platelet solution (PRP) for added growth factor in hair restoration.  Great improvement can be seen in as little as 4 treatments.  It has been shown to increase cell proliferation by as much as 800%!  This is the most effective treatment for the price.

Because platelets contain vital growth hormones, PRP injections are naturally a good fit for stimulating lost hair follicles.  The platelets are injected through the region that is thinning/balding which supplies the nutrients required to continue growing a thicker, fuller and healthier hair strand.  Although there are no large-scale clinical studies on this, preliminary evidence shows PRP therapy as a good fit for hair restoration.

Collagen Induction Therapy

This is a collagen induction therapy that is minimally invasive. The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. We are also applying Peptide ointment to decrease inflammation and human growth factor to increase collagen production to give you the most optimal look possible.

This procedure can be done head to toe for acne, scars, and fine wrinkles. If you have a history of cold sores please let your provider know, so Acyclovir can be prescribed after micro-needling treatment. Before your treatment, you should not have botox or fillers for at least 2 weeks. You will be asked to sign consent. The area being treated will be prepped with a topical numbing anesthetic 10 - 15 minutes prior to starting, to keep you comfortable.

After your treatment, you may see some increased redness, like sunburn since it is optimal for platelets to come to the surface. You may even see some peeling depending on how aggressive your treatment is, but do not pull the skin off let it slough off on its own. You may need 2-4 treatments depending on your skin damage, wrinkles, or scars. Treatments can be repeated in 2-week intervals.

Cannot do micro-needling on:

  • active cold sores
  • grade 2/3 Rosacea
  • tattoos

After Treatment:

  • Use the moisturizer of your choice and mild soap and water for one week after
  • Use sunscreen when outdoors
  • Do not use Retin A or any other abrasive topical for one week after treatment
